Brent Schmidt is a DJ, lighting designer, and proud production nerd who believes great lighting should feel intentional, immersive, and occasionally a little bit ridiculous in the best way. After getting his start assisting on events in 2007, Brent quickly built a reputation in the Cleveland scene for pairing sharp music programming with lighting design that actually changes how a room feels instead of just filling space.
His obsession with lighting led him to work closely with Chauvet DJ as a product representative, giving him deep real-world experience with fixture design, programming workflow, and how DJs can push their gear further without turning the dance floor into chaos. Brent has created lighting experiences for weddings, corporate events, and large productions for brands like American Greetings and the Cleveland Browns, bringing polished design energy everywhere from ballrooms to arenas.
Whether he is crafting subtle architectural moments or unleashing full dance floor energy, Brent treats lighting as part art, part science, and part controlled experiment. As co-host of Lights at Full, he brings that curiosity, honesty, and slightly unhinged lighting therapy to DJs who want their events to look as good as they sound.
